Wii Help

A few months ago the lady from the biggest looser was on Ellen talking about this new game, the Wii Active. Since then I have thought of nothing else. It looked so awesome. I feel like a little kid at Christmas, because I want it so bad.
It has all these different activities you can do and it keeps track of the calories you're burning. It also has some month long or longer programs and it keeps track of your progress, like your weight when you start and finish.
I'm sure I'm not explaining how cool it is, but believe me, it looked awesome!!
We don't have a Wii and I can't decided it we should get one. The price has come down, so I feel like now might be a good time to get one. But, I'm wondering if we'll really use it.
If you have one, here's a few questions I have.
Do you really use it or is it just your husband that uses it? Is Bella (almost 5 year old) too young to use it? Are there games for young kids? I don't know a lot about the Wii fit, but are the fit and active the same or different? I still have my gym pass. So if you have something like this, do you just stop going to the gym and only do this? I'm confused.
I'm really clueless when it comes to stuff like this, so your opinion is really appreciated.

the Wii is probably the best thing for younger kids b/c it doesn't require pushing multiple buttons.
I think the only difference the active has from the FIT is that it has one of those balancing board things to help out your core. i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure that's what i saw on the commercial.
i wouldn't cancel the gym membership. i like to run and spin and get in a good sweat doing cardio.

Krista,
So does the active not cardio?

I have this, and I wake up at 6:45 every morning to do the Wii Active, and I can tell you- it is AWESOME!!! It is like a personal trainer comes to my home every morning before my children even get out of bed. It is worth it!!!

More from me- You do running, and lots of cardio things. It is a way for me to avoid the gym, because lets face it, being a mother of 4 children does not allow much time for you, and escpecially working out

I'm glad you posted about this because I have been wondering the SAME exact things. I want a WII really bad, too but wondered if we'd all use it & is it worth it & all that, too. I think the wii active looks SOOO cool!!

We don't have one but lots of our friends do. It's so fun! The bowling and baseball games are easy for kids. And fun for adults too. I wish we could get one!

Amy,
We don't have wii fit, but we do have a wii and we love it! Nate and I play and Sawyer can play too. He loves all the sports games and we have a lot of games that we like. I am not sure about wii fit, I haven't looked into it yet.
