Help me read!

I guess I worded that wrong. I know how to read. What I need are some book suggestions. I want to read the kind of book you can't put down and ignore all other responsibilities because the book is so good. You know the kind, right? So I thought I would ask everyone for some ideas. I'm up for anything.

I LOVED "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks. If you've seen the movie "The Notebook" it's the sequel to it. It's WONDERFUL! I would definitely recommend it!!!

haha i've totally been thinking about asking the same darn thing. i'm soo in the mood for a good book. i'll have to check back and see what everyone suggests. most anything from nicholas sparks is awesome. I just read memory keepers daughter and thought it was good as well.

I have nothing. I should check back and see. I really liked "Loving Frank". It is about Frank Llyod Wright. I could not put it down- it was not about architecture- more about all of his scandal. You certainly have an opinion after the book is through.

Have you read The Secret Life of Bees? Seriously so good. I'll think of some more suggestions. BUT, I really wanted to say...Does ANYONE care that Oprah's dog died? SERIOUSLY?! (am I just rude?)

No we don't care about her dog. I'm with you. So long Oprah. Doesn't she read my blog? We're sooooo over you Oprah.
And yes I have read secret life. It was a few years ago but I remember that I liked it.

amy if you want good books anything by jodi picoult is good. She is very ethical and makes you think about life in a different way. I really like her. and seriously amy you need to read the twilight series if you haven't. (i know you arent a fan, but they are the type of books that you seriously cannot put down!)

OK ladies, here are some GREAT suggestions...Got a PEN!!! Here we go...The Queens Fool by Philippa Gregory. Deception Point by Dan Brown. Water for Elephants by Sara Bruen. Wild Swans by Junng Chang. Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Goose Girl and Enna Burning by Shannon Hale. Through a Glass Darkly by Karleen Koen (she has 3 books and they go in order so go to the book store and ask for the first one, it will make more sense if you read them in order. World without end and PILLARS OF THE EARTH by Ken Follett. Some of the best books ever. Also The #1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. You can read these out of order but I would start with #1. I have a million more suggestions but these are some of my favorites.

I'm currently reading the Great and Terrible series by Chris Stewart....I've blogged about it... anyways super good and it will scare you into starting (if your haven't started like me) your food storage :) Its about premortal life and the war in heaven and then the continued war here on earth with satan! Anyways excellent read! Another one I just read and it was soooo amazing I honestly loved it and couldn't put it down! Its called My Enemys Cradle by Sara Young. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein...written through the eyes of a dog...really creative! hum...what else...I know you don't like Twilight but give The Host a try...I was a huge fan of that one! Seriously though My Enemys Cradle is one that I thought about for days afterward...normally I just move on...but that was a goodie! I could go on and on and on...;)

I haven't read it, but "A Countess Below Stairs" by Eva Ibbotson has been recommended to me as a really good, easy, can't put it down read. Also, I'm going to start reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.

Beverly Lewis books about the Amish are good. She has several series. I have a couple you are welcome to borrow. I have a Lisa Wingate Series of three...Texas Cooking, Lone Star Cafe and Over the Moon at the Big Lizard Diner. Fun escape books but come over one day and have a look.
