Tribute

We're big fans of The Berenstain Bears over here.

So I was sad to hear that one of the authors Jan Berenstain passed away a few days ago.

I was impressed to read that right before her stoke she was working on 2 books. Which is saying a lot since she was 88.

I grew up reading these books and the girls love them too. I especially love that they always teach a lesson in a fun way.

So here is our tribute to a great author.

I can't believe I haven't posted any pictures from my fabulous birthday.

What is wrong with me?

Well, to be fair I am waiting on pictures from someone else.

But here is one from a very special night.

We left on my birthday for a weekend with friends at a cabin in McCall Idaho.

We stopped in Boise for dinner with my friends parents, and her mom being the thoughtful person she is, had baked a cake and hung up the birthday sign for me. I should also mention she was only given 2 hours notice that we (8) adults would be stopping there for dinner.

So it's even more impressive that she would also whip up a cake for me.

It was a great way to start my birthday weekend!

More fun in February

Valentines Day was so much fun! I don';t know when this happened, but Valentine's has become the new Halloween. The kids had so many parties. Claire went to 3!! And so much sugar! Oh well Halloween was 4 months ago.

After the older girls were at school I found the twins like this on my bed watching tv. (Oh and I cut their bangs. I love it! So cute!) And Bella dressed them for Valentine's. She was very proud of that fact.

Are You Kidding Me #30

Last night while at a meeting for an upcoming stake dance a leader introduced himself and then pointing to one of the youth form his ward said "And this is John, but you probably know him from school."

Seriously!

Are you kidding me?

People are always telling me I'll love it one day that I look so young. But I've been hearing that for years and still don't love it.

I know it's better than looking old, but being compared to a high school student wasn't exactly a compliment to me.

Oh well at least the kids from my ward had a good laugh!

Bunco Fun

I can't believe I've never posted about some of my favorite people.

I started playing about 3 years ago and LOVE it! We have so much fun and it's been great getting to some of these people that I never would have met otherwise. Over the last 3 years we've a few come and go but for the most part we still have the originals.

Last week when I was getting to leave Seth said "Oh you have Bunco tonight? I had no idea you haven't mentioned it at all".

I guess I get pretty excited.

Note To Self

January is over. Hooray!

I'm sick of the cold and blah feeling that is January.

I just finished my 2011 blog book and I love it!

I'm disappointed in myself that I only blogged once in January. I know we did things yet I have nothing to show for the month.

So now that my favorite month of the year has arrived............
