A Few Firsts

This week has been pretty eventful around our house. Bella started soccer again. But for the FiRst time she is on a team of all girls. She loves it! She also had her FirSt day of school. She loves that to. This year she goes 3 times a week, which I love. To top off the week Seth had his appendix out and stayed over night in the hospital. That was a fiRsT, that I'm glad will never happen again. Of course it came on a day that I had been having a cramp in my side all day and could hardly walk. We made it though the day because of our amazing family and ward. Really we have been so taken care of. I even had a friend go to Costco and the grocery store for us. That was awesome to just write her a check as she brought everything in. We also had meals brought in. Even though I tried to say no, because of the freezer meals from the shower. But they all said to save them for after the babies are born. Seth thinks he will be recovered to go to the Utah game. We'll see. If he doesn't get to go this will be one of the fIrsT time in years he's missed the opening game.
I also went to the doctor today and had another huge shock. I still can't believe it but one of the babies is 5 lbs and the other is 6 lbs!!!! What the..? I have a friend who just had twins, and hers were that weight, and I remember thinking there's no way mine will be that big. I could never carry that much baby.
I'll have to take a picture for those of you who don't see me all the time, but seriously someone told me the other day that I look like I'm going to fall over in the front because that's where all the weight is. It's true. My stomach is all baby and getting so big! I've made an executive decision (without consulting anyone) that I'm officially taking myself off of bed rest, starting this weekend. Just don't tell my doctor. So if you see me lifting Claire or walking up and down my street, it's ok.

He knew this picture was going on the blog so he refused to smile

Bella is the tall one in purple

ha ha ha ha ha...just like a Utah fan to think he can make it to the game days after surgery. JK...I'm so sorry you're going through so much! It sounds like you're getting taken care of, though. Bella looks SO CUTE! Yay for preschool. It's so fun for them. Let me know when you're ready for gift cards...and where you want them for.

Uh oh. I guess I shouldn't have told him that I thought he would be okay to go to the game. Oops. I like the hospital gown picture. Very cute Sethy. I seriously can't believe you have 11 lbs of baby in you. Seriously? You are one tough lady.

WOW--- you guys have so much going on right now. I'm not sure how you're surviving!! I couldn't believe it when I heard about Seth having his appendix out. What a week, huh?!?

11 POUNDS?!? That is AWESOME!!!! Wyatt was just over 4 lbs & he did great! If your twins are really that big that is FANTASTIC!!!

Hold off as long as you can before you take yourself off of bedrest. Take it from me, going through having a baby in the NICU with 2 at home isn't fun or easy! Wyatt was in the NICU for 3 weeks & he was at LDS Hospital & I lived in Layton. It was really tough trying to juggle being at the hospital with him and being with my girls at home. It was really hard. But with that said, I can TOTALLY relate to being at a point where you are DONE & just want to move on to the next phase no matter what challenges it brings. I felt the EXACT same way right before Kaitlyn was born. I had HAD it & I wanted her delivered. . . We decided that even if she had to stay in the NICU for awhile (which she didn't-- she stayed only 6 days.) at least I would be home & we knew she'd be home soon, too. It all worked out great for me & I'm sure it will for you, too!

I hope you don't hate all my advice. I want you to know that you are doing so amazing & it's ALL going to be worth it when you see your sweet angel girls!!!!

PS...Seth, I'm SOO sorry about your surgery. I hope you feel better soon!!

Hey Bevany, It's called dedication. Something you'll slowly lose this year.

Oh and I am going. Got the handicapped pass and I know where the elevator is. I just can't raise my arms and jump up to cheer.

GO UTES!

PS Our ward rocks!

Poor, poor Seth!! He looks miserable, and I am sure if you included a picture of you, you would be miserable, too!! K- now your job is to have only good, fun stuff at the Brown house! Like....hmmmmmm....maybe two adorable twin girls!! How much fun will that be?! I will for sure be there whenever you need me- naps, anything!!! JUST ASK- I mean it!!

He was cheering, but you could tell he was aching in his gut! Good times. It's all about the memories right? ;) I can't believe those babies are still living it up inside your belly (which is totally cute btw)! Huge (on your little body), but cute! Hope you guys are doing well today!!

Hey Seth---
What was that about dedication again?
How about cheering your team to a victory over OKLAHOMA?!
Yep, that's right.

Bevo,

You call screaming at the tv dedication? Pfffft....Did you go to the game? Nope.

It's about time. It only took 20 years to pull off something a win like they did.

Great win though. The D, I heard, looked really good.

Amy! Congrats on making it this far. Those are excellent weights for you babies! Wahoo!

I got your message, but last weekends was as hectic as they come. When is a good time to call. I don't want to interrupt nap/quiet time? Maybe I will just try!
