Yesterday my sister Laura was telling me how my nephew, who is six, bought something on line. She went into the computer room to find her debit card out and a little boys explanation that he wanted a "penguin membership". (for some game). He went on to say that is was only $6.95. Well, to make a long story short it was $6.95, for 12 months. She was able to call and cancel after she explained what had happened. The point of this blog is that I can't believe kids are so smart. He's only in 1st grade and already knows how to buy something on line. I'm worried. Not only do I have a smart kid who likes to go on line to PBSkids, but she loves getting "new outfits". Once she learns that she can buy clothes on line I'm in trouble.

goodbye, favorite show!
I'm not much of a TV watcher. In fact I can think of only 3 shows that I currently watch and one of them is now over. Sadly last night was the last episode of the Gilmore Girls. I've been hooked for the last 3 years, so this is hard for me. (It's been on for 7 years, it just took re-runs for me to fall in love with it). So now I must find a new show. Any ideas?

Family Vacation
We had such a good time in California. We went to Disney and Bella had lunch with the princess's. She tells me she loves Snow White, which is funny because she's never seen the movie. She wore her princess shoes almost the whole time, we had a hard time getting them off, she even wore them to sleep, as you can see. But her favorite thing was playing at the beach. She would have stayed there the whole day if she could. Bella had lots of fun with grandma Pam who spoiled her rotten.

the church bag
As I walked into church today I was complaining in my head about how heavy the church bag has become. I mean seriously, is all this stuff necessary? so during sacrament meeting I took inventory. And it was sad.
Bella's stuff includes: Diaper, wipes, wheat bread, apple slices, Dora toy, books
Amy's stuff includes: gum, cookies, licorice, crayons, coloring book,(I try to pass these off as Bella's but anyone who sees me during church, knows she never uses them) scriptures, primary stuff.
After taking inventory I realized I'm to blame for the heaviness. But in my defence it's what keeps me going. You would think taking care of a 2 year old would do it, but half the time she sits with our friends who don't have kids.
At least I figured out why the church bag is so heavy. Am I the only mom who does this?

This might be the death of me....
I hate swimming lessons. The only thing that keeps me going back is the nonrefundable payment I made. It's 25 minutes of hell. Bella cries for almost the whole time. She refuses to do the things the teacher does, like blowing bubbles, practicing kicking and strokes. However she does like to jump into the pool from the side. Is she crazy or is it just me? I can't understand how she dares jump off the side but not do anything while I'm holding her. Seth tells me I should stop trying to figure out the way a two year thinks. I think he's right. But all be damned if we're going to quit. We will get our moneys worth and maybe along the way she'll start to like it. (I can always hope).
