Breakfast at the Browns

  • sippy cups with milk, bowls with cereal, 2 bananas: check

  • ugly blankets that if the kids spill on I won't care: check

  • basket with toys: check

  • DVR with lots of kids shows: check

This is my new way to get through the morning. I get the cereal and milk ready the night before. When Bella wakes up she brings it all in my room. Seth brings Claire in and that's how we start the morning. It's a far cry from how I usually start breakfast. I was in such a good habit of going to the gym, reading scriptures as a family, and having healthy breakfasts, not to long ago. That's all gone out the window since the twins were born. I've come to the realization that for the next little while I will be staying home. This has been hard for me. I hate staying home. But at the same time I am thankful that it's even an option.

That is great!! You will get back to a place you will be happy with. I think four no matter what the age span keeps you home a bit more, but you start to become a happy home body!!

Love this post. And that breakfast still sounds healthy to me. You got a fruit in the mix! And don't worry things will get easier. I am impressed with how well you are doing already!

My sister-in-law gave me really great advice after I had Cameron. She said that, for at least 6 months or so, she took any shortcut that she could. Instead of homemade waffles, it was eggos. Instead of making something for lunch, it was crackers and pre-cut cheese. A few months (or however long you need) of short cuts won't hurt a thing. It will keep you sane!! I'm still in short-cut mode.

HED!! I haven't seen your blog in a while since it is private it doesn't update on my RSS feed, so I didn't even know that you had your little ones! How crazy--4 girls! I must say that you are amazing. I will be there next month and I can't wait to come play with your new little ones! CONGRATS....miss you!

Ok, seriously...after I had Mia I would make Keigan an eggo waffle and bring it upstairs to my bedroom for her to eat. We had syrup ALL OVER our carpet. Yeah...I had a three year old and a newborn and could barely function. You are doing awesome! Such a great picture. Your girls will love it when they're older.
