Grandpa and Grandma in Sweden

My dad and Jan left to work in the temple for 6 months, this morning. Last night we had a family dinner and then today me and the twins took them to the airport. It was sad to see them go and Bre said as we pulled away "I miss them already". but we know they'll be back soon and we'll get to see them in 2 months. I was able to find a pretty good deal on flight and I've booked a lots of acting and modeling jobs lately so that has helped.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

For grandpa's birthday we celebrated at lagoon and lagoon a beach!

It was a great day! Not many grandpa's would spend the day at lagoon but he did and we all had a great time!

The girls are so lucky to have such a great grandpa!

Grandpa took all these cute kids out to lunch! I wish Bella had been with us that weekend. They are so lucky to have him.

After school today Claire asked if she could call grandpa and go to his house to play Sorry.
Since it's Friday he wasn't working and ended up coming to get her. She did this last week too and last Saturday during the day she and Bella went grocery shopping with him.

Tonight as I was tucking her in she told me about how they played Sorry and how he won. She said "You know, I think the blue pieces are lucky. Because whoever uses them always wins".

I feel so thankful that my kids have such a great relationship with their grandpa.

Grandpa Time

My dad watched the twins today so I could go to The Judge and take pictures for the social media stuff I do for them. He's been taking them every time I go, which is once a week.

I was just thinking about lucky the girls are to have him in their lives. He is such a great grandpa. He plays games with them, takes them to lunch and just loves them so much!

The best part is at the end of the day when I ask what their highs and low where for the day, the twins always say going with grandpa was their high.

When Claire was younger she would say grandpa was her best friend. And she still gets jealous that she can't go with him because of school and the twins get to.

What lucky girls! And I feel so blessed!

Christmas with grandpa and grandma

We celebrated Christmas with grandma and grandpa tonight. The girls had fun of course! They're so lucky to have them so close.

Great Dad

Today was a little rough.

Kenny has been at it again with full force. His e-mails have gotten worse. Very manipulative and mean. I was just under so much stress.

I called my dad and broke down.

He then offered to take the girls to the zoo. Something I was planning to do because it was free zoo day. But I was having such a rough day I didn't think I would make it.

Anyway he was so amazing! As usual. He took the girls and while they were there he ran into Marianne and A. The kids all wanted to stay with their friends so he walked around with the moms for a few hours.

I'm so thankful for such a great dad/grandpa!

Lagoon a beach with grandpa

Today we went to Lagoon a beach with grandpa. It was lots of fun. Claire did all 4 blue slides (something she's never done before) and had a blast! Grandpa even did a couple tube slides.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa turned 74 today and we had a fun dinner birthday party for him. Everyone came; Scott & Jamie, Sharla & Garrett, Fred and Laura & Elysia. I made my first ever pie. It turned out really well. Thanks to Linda.

It was sad not to have Bella there and we missed her.

Also sad that I only got one picture. I guess it's cause we were having such a good time.

Love this guy and all that he does for us! We're so lucky to have him in our lives!

Claire's Sleepover

Claire called grandpa and asked every day for 2 weeks if she could have a sleepover with grandpa. He finally said yes and she had a great time. In fact right before he came to get her she was in the kitchen doing jumping jacks and running around in circles because she couldn't calm down.

She played with grandmas ipad, took a bath and read stories with grandpa. She was in heaven. Then the next morning she got to go with Luke and Bella to grandparents and goodies at the school. 

Grandpa's Visits

Whenever grandpa comes to help out (more like bail us out of hard situations) the kids gather around and watch, while they talk his ear off. We're so lucky to have him so close and always willing to serve!

This morning Bella went to grandparents and goodies with grandpa at the school. The other cousins weren't ready in time.

But she had a great time eating breakfast and reading books.

Breakfast With Grandpa

Bella's school is always doing such fun things.
For example: dad's and donuts, mom's and muffins, birthday lunch tables where parents can bring lunch for the student.
This morning was grandparents and goodies. Which meant cinnamon rolls from a local bakery and reading books in the morning before school started.
Bella's pretty lucky. She has 4 grandma's, 1 grandpa, and 4 great-grandparents. All still living. So she had her pick. Too bad all the grandparents work.
Luckily grandpa was able to go with Bella and her cousins (another plus, she has goes to school with her cousins).
What a great experience.

Sleepover Fun At Grandma's

Last night Bella had a sleepover at Grandma Jan's with Luke. Every year grandma plans tons of fun things to do while she's not working during the summer. The kids LOVE it! Sleeping over has become a tradition and the kids are always so excited about it.

They had so much fun playing in the sandbox with their new toys, eating dinner at McDonald's, taking a bath, watching a movie with popcorn, and of course sleeping in their sleeping bags at the foot of grandma and grandpa's bed.

They are so lucky to have a grandma who cares so much about them & plans fun things for them to do. Next on the list of fun is the movie Walle, can't wait. Thanks grandma!
